Moreover, your learning journey will be enriched by the expertise of the Western Bulldogs staff and high performance teams, providing you with invaluable behind-the-scenes access to:

  • Pre-season and in-season training sessions: Witness firsthand how elite athletes build their strength and conditioning under the guidance of professionals, and how their preparations change depending on the time of the season. Experiences are offered across all four football programs at the Western Bulldogs – AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW.
  • High Performance Center Facilities: Join the class as the Club unveils it’s brand new High Performance Center as part of the recent redevelopment. Explore cutting-edge facilities that create the best environment to develop physical performance.
  • Masterclasses: Gain insights into career journeys, jobs and roles at the Club as students attend Masterclass sessions hosted by a range of Western Bulldogs high performance staff. Learn about current training techniques, and put theoretical coursework into practice with practical sessions in the gym and on the training track.

Flexible Learning with the VU Block Model

The program offers a blend of online and in-person learning, making the most of the VU Block Model. This approach ensures that you can balance your studies with other commitments while still immersing yourself in a dynamic learning experience.

There are limited places in the course to ensure small and collaborative class sizes.

  • Strength and Conditioning Coach: Help develop training plans and support athletes to reach their peak performance levels.

  • completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a similar discipline OR
  • a minimum of five (5) years approved work experience
